A monitor is one task, checked on one schedule. We charge for how many things you are watching, not for how much data you send us, so a busy month never changes the bill.
If you want us to run the checks against a model ourselves, that is $49 a month per model, plus whatever the provider charges us, passed straight through. We publish what each check actually costs to run; today the public ones come to well under a dollar a day each.

The evidence itself
You get this on every plan, free included. Send us scores or let us run the checks; either way the evidence builds up, you can look at it as often as you like without spoiling it, and it raises an alarm when it passes the level you chose.
What it cannot do is convince an outsider that the rules were set before the data arrived — because on these plans, they weren’t.

Certificates
When we lock a design with you, the test cases, the minimum score and the false-alarm budget are all reviewed and fixed before the first result comes in. That is what makes the published false-alarm rates apply to your monitor, and what lets you hand the certificate to someone who wasn’t in the room and have it mean something.

What is a certificate?
One signed file. It holds the design we locked, every piece of evidence that came in, and the result. You can check it on your own machine, with no account and no connection to us: either it recomputes to exactly the same answer, or it fails and you should not believe it. Try it with one of ours.
What does a certificate not do?
It cannot prove that your scores are independent of each other, and it does not claim to. It vouches for the calculation, on the assumption that they are, and it says exactly that on its face.
What does it cost if you run the checks for us?
$49 a month per model, plus what the provider charges us, at cost. "One model" means one specific model, from one provider, at one version of the weights — the three things that change behaviour. What each check costs to run is published on its own evidence page.
Can I start free and register the same monitor later?
Yes, but registration is prospective. A registered design is frozen before its evidence period begins. Earlier data can be shown for context, but it can never become pre-registered evidence after the fact. The free monitors and their history stay yours either way.
Can I self-host?
Yes, and the Rust core is Apache-2.0 licensed. Self-hosting comes with the Registered plan today; publishing the crate for everyone is on the roadmap, and the date will show up on the record when we have one.
Why no SOC 2 badge?
Because we would only be buying the badge, and it would not tell you anything yet. We are still at the design-partner stage. Your scores live in one Postgres database, encrypted at rest, and the data practices page lists everything we keep. We will do SOC 2 properly when the first ten teams actually need it.
What happens to my scores if I leave?
Take everything with you through the API, and we delete our copy as soon as you ask. Your data was never on the public record in the first place.
